Are you searching for water quality study program that is both fun and in-depth at the same time? Well your local Purdue Cooperative Extension
office has exactly what you need. READ ON!
Indiana's Water Riches studies one of the most precious natural resources - water. The program encourages everyone to do their part in protecting and conserving water supplies.
Developed for upper-elementary children, Indiana's Water Riches consists of five units. The unit topics are: water use; the water cycle; surface and groundwater; water pollution; and water conservation. A 10-minute video segment introduces each unit. The video segments take place in a television news room complete with anchor person, reporter, and field "experts."
After viewing the video, students study an activity tabloid for each of the units. Activities in the tabloids allow the instructor to evaluate if students have mastered the objectives.
