Hydraulics & Hydrology Course for Beginners

 


The Hoosier Heartland Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council is sponsoring a “Hydraulics and Hydrology Course for Beginners” geared for developers, engineers, and contractors on July 29-30, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 This two-day course is designed for those who have awareness in the following subject areas of the sciences and arts of hydrology and hydraulics, and a desire to increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities to a working level. 

 The course instructor will be Mr. Jeffry Healy.  Mr. Healy has over 30 years of experience in water resources project development, design, and construction.  He is currently a Vice-President at Banning Engineering, P.C., in Plainfield, IN.  He was previously the State Conservation Engineer for the USDA-NRCS in Indiana. 

 This workshop will be held in the computer lab at the Trinity Lutheran School located at 8540 E. 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN.  The cost of the workshop is $295 per person.  A student workbook will be included with course registration. References will include TR-55 and Haestad Computer Application in Hydraulic Engineering (Academic CD).
