The Hoosier Heartland Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council is sponsoring a “Hydraulics and Hydrology Course for Beginners” geared for developers, engineers, and contractors on July 29-30, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 This two-day course is designed for those who have awareness in the following subject areas of the sciences and arts of hydrology and hydraulics, and a desire to increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities to a working level. 

 The course instructor will be Mr. Jeffry Healy.  Mr. Healy has over 30 years of experience in water resources project development, design, and construction.  He is currently a Vice-President at Banning Engineering, P.C., in Plainfield, IN.  He was previously the State Conservation Engineer for the USDA-NRCS in Indiana. 

 This workshop will be held in the computer lab at the Trinity Lutheran School located at 8540 E. 16^th Street, Indianapolis, IN.  The cost of the workshop is $295 per person.  A student workbook will be included with course registration. References will include TR-55 and Haestad Computer Application in Hydraulic Engineering (Academic CD).
